Market Research
I've looked at the top ten music videos on youtube so I can look at them and see what makes them appeal to the audience and this will help me when making decisions with putting things in the video as I can see whats popular with the mass market and this means that I am able to see what they like and hopefully produce something which will appeal to them. I am also hoping to look at these videos for inspiration so I can see what makes a good music video. I think that this has helped me to compare different genres and to see the best videos for all different genres. Being able to see good videos means that I can look at the conventions that they use in them and use some in my video so that I can make it as good as the top ten on youtube. I will be analysing the number one video in a later post to see what is good about it and why so many people might watch it.
