Inspiration

I chose to look at this video because it has the same beat throughout the hole video and I think the tone of the music is similar to the song that we are doing. I really like the setting of the beach as I think that it works really well so it has made me think about using a beach as a location. I also chose this because this song is about a car which is like my song, I think that the idea of the use of driving works well because it means that it relates to the song. I really like the use of the use of close ups and also the long shots as they work really well. I like how there is a variety of shots because I think that it works really well. I think that having a car in the video works really well because it applies movement to it. I really like the setting and the locations that they have used, I really like the use of filming on the street as it looks realistic and if its real life and not a stereotypical video which is done on a bluescreen. I really like the location of the beach setting because I think its so simple and so effective because it can be done really easily and I think that we could do this but have our star sitting or walking across the beach to make it more to our genre rather than this song which is the rap/ pop genre. I think that this is really going to inspire me on the use of a car in the video. I think that the use of having the camera on the car while the main star is driving works really well and I also think that it would be a good idea to do this however it may be hard so maybe having an in door camera would work better viewing the roadsides.

I have chosen to look at this video because I like the use of the colourscheme as I think it works really well for the genre and the music. I also think that the mise en scene works really well with the slow music as it is very dark and dull. I think the mist in the background works really well. I think that the zooming in of the jar works really well because it relates well to the lyrics. I really like the part where she is walking past the car and where you can only see her feet as I think this works really well and I think that we could use a shot like this in our video. I think when she walks out from behind the car carrying on the last shot works really well as she is in the background and the front of the car is in the foreground which makes it really bold. I looked at this video because it had a lot of relation to a car and it has helped me get inspiration for our video as we liked the idea of using a car in relation to the lyrics. I like that the location is in the road as the mise en scene works well with the music and her lyrics as they are upset lyrics so it relates to the colour scheme. I really like the rustic colours and how the white of her outfit stands out from the car because all of the other colours are very dark and dull. I think that the zooming in of the shoes is going to be done in our video because I really liked this aspect and the focusing of her walking which I think works really well.
