Inspiration

This video inspires me because of the bright bold colours used in it. It also works well because everything in the video is food related which makes it all link in. It also works well because it's like a board game and this hasn't been done in a music video before. I think that the use of having food as objects works really well e.g. candyfloss as clouds. I really like how the colours really stand out and it makes it obvious that the genre is Pop because of the colours and patterns used. I think that it works well as it uses an idea that no one has done before and I also think that it stands out from other videos. I would love to do something like this but it would be very hard to do because we don't have the editing facilities that they use when making real music videos.



This video is a massive 34 minutes long. It inspires me because it features all of his songs from the album 'My beautiful dark twisted fantasy' and in this video there are a use of lots of different ideas which makes it stand out from other videos. I really like how the main girl links through the whole video. This video would have taking ages to make because of the fact that so many shots have been needed for it and because it is so long. I really like the colour scheme used throughout because it isn't too bright it is very simplistic and this is what I want our video to be like so that the effects stand out and certain aspects stand out rather than just the colour being bright and overtaking the motion.



I really like the use of the glasses of water that move when Adelle sings because it means that you can tell how powerful her voice is. They also move to the beat of the drums which make it interesting. I also really like the colour palette used because it is really pale and also dull but it makes all the action stand out e.g. all of the plates breaking. I think that the breaking of plates and the glasses on the floor work really well and I really like the location that has been used as it is something that I think we would be able to use. I think that the mise en scene works really well because it is messy but the faded colours make it look good and realistic. I think a setting like this would work really well for our video.



This video really works well because it acts like a film rather than a video which I think works well. It inspires me because of the use of videoing in the car which I think works well and also the use of dancing works really well. I think that the bold use of makeup works really well in this video but I think the makeup makes it obvious of the pop genre whereas i'm doing a folk genre I think that it would need less makeup. This video has inspired me by showing that makeup and style has a big effect on the genre of video and how the artist is perceived to the audience.



This video is really abstract in the way that it uses Will.i.am's face at every stage of his life which makes it different to other videos and it makes it stand out. It's different because its his face at everypoint e.g. as a child it has his face on the child which makes it quite humerous. I really like how it shows his life happening and how it looks abstract because it his head on different stages of his life so it doesn't look like the age but you can tell. I don't think that it shows the genre well through this video which may mean it doesn't work well but other than that the video is really good and uses a lot of effects which works well.



This video inspires me because of the fact that the body's don't match the face which makes it really weird and also the face look like there made out of cardboard. It also makes you focus more on the body language. It makes it weird to look at because the heads aren't in proportion, but it works well because you remember the video. I think that this video is very good because it works through the whole school day and I think it related really well to teenagers as it is the sort of things that they do in the day. I really like the effect of the big heads on the little bodies because I think that it makes the video stand out from many others in the media.
