Possible artists

We have looked at a range of different artists that we could use for our music video, we decided that we wanted to use a solo artist rather than a band because we thought that there was more choice of songs for solo artists than bands. We looked at both genders for this and all genres so we could get a big range of songs and artists.  We looked at artists who are really big e.g. Kanye West which we think his videos are really extravagant and unique, although he has a much bigger budget than what we have and experienced camera men and special effects. We have chosen to use Tracy Chapmen because we like the simple music and the ton of the songs that she uses as they have lots of meaning to them and we think that the lyrics will be good to use in our video. We chose to look at different genre's of artists because it meant that we could look at people who's songs we like the best and we could see the different styling and how they are perceived to the audience. We wrote down artists who we liked and narrowed it down.
