Magazine Advert Analysis

La Roux magazine advert consists of two pages rather than one which I think works really well. I have chosen to look at this advert because I feel that the use of colours works really well because it matches her hair and also matches her face colour because the photo has been edited which I think works really well. I also really like this advert because I think that the writing works really well as it is a little abstract. I think that the writing style works really well because it is very bold. The picture is a close up and this helps with ensureing that the audience knows who she is and this close up of the side of her face works really well because you can see her hair and she is known for her abstract hair. The writing style is the same throughout this double page spread advert and I think that this works really well. I also really like the use of the simple layout as I think that it works really well. It also has her tour date on it which I think works really well as it promotes two different things so it helps market her tour as well as her album. The left side picture is exactly the same as her album cover and this works really well as it makes it obvious and it links the two together well. It also has some quotes, Im not sure what they are from but I think that it works really well for people who are a fan of her. I think that it would work well if they were from her songs. I think that they may be what people say about the album. It also has a star rating at the top which shows that it is 4 stars and this works well as it shows people that the album is good. I really like the edited picture as I think that it works really well as it makes it quite different and a little abstract.
