Simple album covers

I really like the use of the black background because it makeas the image stand out. I also really like the use of the white writing as it contrasts with the background. I really think that the use of the writing 'Fearless' works well because it blends in with the skin colour but also works really well too. I think that the use of the neutral colour, white and black on the album works really well because they are neutral colours. Her eyes are also dark which blends in with the background. I think that the use of the writing works really well because it looks handwritten and makes it fit well with the folk genre. 

I really like the bold but also neutral yellow colour of the background as it makes the photo stand out. Although it is a very old album cover and things have gotten much more modern nowadays I thought it would be a good idea to look at the album cover of the song we are doing. I really like the use of 2 simple colours as I think they compliment eachother well. 

I really like the use of black and white imagery throughout this album cover. I think that it makes Adele really stand out. I really love how the writing is very simple which makes it look proffesional. I also love how it goes from dark to light throughout the album cover which I think makes it look very effective. I also really like the squareish writing because I think it makes it look very proffesional and neat rather than crowded and cramped. I think that having the image in a close up works well because you can see the artist well.

I really like the simplicity of this album cover because it just has a picture of Leona and it is on a simple background. I think that the simple writing works well. I also like the effect of the red lipstick as all of the other colours are dull and the lipstick stands out from the rest of the page which I think works really well. I think that the use of having the artist in the middle of the page works really well because she is centred in the middle because it brings focus to the middle of the album.

The male gaze is used here because beyonce is a good looking artist, she is posed in a sexual manner and I think that the use of having it in black and white works really well because it makes Beyonce stand out well. I think that the use of black and white works well but I think that because Beyonce is a well known artist she is able to do this whereas Skye is a new artist so will need to be recognised first.

I like the dark colours used in this album, although I think it is a little dark and I think that it may not work well for my genre of music. I think that the picture works really well for the title and I also think that it works well that the picture is looking down at the name of the album. However I don't think that the picture is that effective especially if I am going to be using the 'gaze' theory in my photos. 

I really like the how the use of the word 'Lights' is portrayed through the photography which gives it a link and makes it work really well. I think that the light effect however does make it look a little cheap so perhaps if the picture didn't have any effects added would make it work really well.
